Shifting Terrain | Brooch

This landscape brooch is part of a body of work which explores the relationship between architecture and landscape. The tussle between built form and nature, as man strives to supplant its will.  These dynamic forces result in a landscape of complex geometries, an ever changing environment where the shadows of the past merge with the present.

This sculptural brooch is made from a wide range of native and exotic tmbers and silver. Each component is cut, shaped and sanded, then assembled into the final form and finished with a few light coats of oil.
