Africa

Africa has some exquisite timber species including Pink Ivory Wood which can be found in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Other timbers such as African Blackwood are one of the most prized and rare timbers from the continent. The small pieces I have of this timber were given to me by a luthier who sourced it directly from a mill many years ago. The mill was going to burn these pieces as they were too small to be of any use to them, Lucky save!
