Many of the timbers I use in my wooden rings are incredibly hard, in fact some of them are amongst the hardest timbers in the world!
However sometimes life happens and you may scratch your ring over time. Don’t despair! there’s an easy fix for minor scratches on your wooden ring. You just need to give it a light wax and polish, which will reduce the visible signs of these scratches.
What you need
Organoil Wax and Polish: This is a natural product made from beeswax and citrus oils. It can be purchased online for a supplier called Carbatec.
Two lint free cloths: Cotton is best, something like a handkerchief is great
Step 1 – First apply a thin layer of wax to the ring with one of the cloths.
Step 2 Allow the ring to sit for five minutes for the wax to be absorbed into the timber.
Step 3 Buff the ring with the other clean cloth to remove excess wax.
You’re all done!
