Mars (Ancient New Zealand Swamp Kauri + Silver) | Wooden Ring

$360.00

I make this wooden ring from one of New Zealand’s most iconic timbers, Ancient Swamp Kauri. This amazing timber has been buried in peat swamps for up to 50,000 years and is the oldest preserved timber in the world. I’ve combined the Kauri with Mulga, which is an extremely hard desert timber found throughout the arid regions of Australia. It was traditionally used by indigenous Australians to make spears and boomerangs. This piece also has a thin silver liner for a little bit of contrast.

Description

This ring is approximately 7mm x 2.5mm and is available is ring sizes F to Z.

All of the colours in my pieces are the natural colours of the timber, I only use a few coats of oil and wax to bring their natural beauty to life.

Production and delivery timeframe

I make your ring to order in my Melbourne studio and it takes me approximately ten to fifteen business days for production. Once it’s ready I'll box it up and post it to you anywhere in Australia or around the world. If you need your ring a little sooner, please contact me and I'll see if I can speed up the process for you.

My environmental commitment

Our natural environment is very special to me, so each time you purchase a ring from my online store I donate a tree through the Carbon Positive Australia. They're a not for profit organisation that helps to restore degraded landscapes in Australia by planting carefully selected indigenous trees and plants.
